The turn out was tremendous with a total of 600 guests and presenter for the evening was Des Kelly, the well-known sports columnist and former acting editor of The Daily Mirror.

The European Property Awards are part of the globally respected International Property Awards, which have been running for 15 years. Due to their continual growth in size and standing, a series of other programmes for specific regions have also been launched. The Daily Mail UK Awards were introduced five years ago and these were joined more recently by individual programmes for the European, Arabian, Asia Pacific, African and Americas Property Awards.
There are 36 different categories in total and four and five-star awards are given to the best residential and commercial entries. The highest scoring five-star entries are then re-examined to decide the nominees to go forwards to compete for the ultimate World’s Best Award. The World’s Best winners, including those from the European Property Awards, will be announced at a grand presentation dinner at The US Grant Hotel in San Diego, California on November 12th.
Supported by a host of well-respected professional bodies such as FIABCI, NAEA, NHBC and NAR to name but a few, the awards are judged by an independent team of experts in the property, design and construction fields, together with property writers and sponsors.

Alanya - disabled sports centre
Our Managing Director Taylan Gundes joined the monthly meeting of Chamber of Commerce held on 15th September. The meeting was mostly concerning the new activities in Alanya which will bring more attraction to the area, and a new exciting project was discussed and agreed by the Chamber. The project refers to organizing sport activities for disabled citizens and a rehabilitation centre for disabled visitors in Alanya.
There were 33 foreign disabled leaders of their group at the meeting, invited by the Chamber to Alanya. The Chamber of Commerce took the decision of organizing the first disabled sport activities in Alanya next month in October. The first one will be only national, and next year the international disabled sports, the decision was taken.
Regretfully there were not enough services and not enough attention paid to disabled citizens until now. Hopefully with this organization, Alanya will be the first city to see, learn and arrange services for disabled citizens and will be an example to the whole Turkey, besides somehow, Alanya will be once more a head of another activity which will bring more modernization and more visitors, obviously highly will be in the national media this year and international media next year.
Please remember world famous Alanya International Triathlon will be organized 25th October, live in Eurosport TV.

ALANYA - TURKEY
Things to see:
The large popular resort of Alanya lies at one end of a rocky promontory which juts out into the Mediterranean between two sandy beaches. A 13th century Seljuk fortress, one of the most magnificent sights on the coast, crowns the headland. 150 towers punctuate the walls of the well preserved double-walked citadel. Within the outer walls are ruins of mosques, a caravanserai and a covered bazaar; in the inner walls are a ruined cistern and a Byzantine church. Although Alanya's history dates back beyond Roman times, it rose to prominence under the Seljuk Turks when in 1220 Alaeddin Keykubat made it his winter residence and naval base. The remaining buildings reflect the importance of the city in Seljuk times. Besides the impressive citadel, tourists should explore the unique dockyards and the octagonal Kizil Kule (Red Tower). Alanya is a beautiful holiday centre of modern hotels and motels, numerous fish restaurants and cafes. The cafes that ring the harbour have become popular gathering places for tourists. From the town's lovely park, the road runs along the coast to the harbour lined with countless boutiques which tempt tourists with handicrafts, leather, clothes, jewellery, handbags and the amusing painted gourds, a symbol of the area. In August when Alanya hosts a colourful International Folklore Festival the atmosphere is charged with vitality and gaiety. If you enjoy exploring, you should visit the Damlatas Cave to see the misshapen rock formations. Nearby is the Archaeological and Ethnographical Museum. A boat can take you to the three sea grottoes: Fosforlu Magara with it phosphorescent rocks, the Kizlar Magarasi where pirates imprisoned their female captives and the Asiklar Magarasi (Lover's Cave). When the intense sun overpowers you, take a day trip to the Dim Cayi Vadisi, 15 Km east of Alanya where you can relax in the shade of this scenic valley and listen to the river rushing by. Avsallar, about 25 Km from Alanya to the west is a holiday resort with fine sandy beaches. If you travel east from Alanya towards Gazipasa you will discover and no doubt linger on the exceptional beaches.
